Chocolate Girl — “Elephants”
Elegantly woven frequencies dug within altered-pitches & quick climbing keys; I’m quite amazed here and it’s no surprise that the rest of this SndCld catalogue is just as brilliant. With Chocolate Girl, my first thought was ‘oh hey I dig that Animal Collective song’ and that’s about the only relation this production has with AnCo but no worries. This is absolutely stunning work and without much info on the backstory of this production/project, we can only wait for more tracks & hopefully an actual release.

how i wish i can go… but it is stupid Wednesday…
Was bored at the beginning with the separate dancing sessions and quite annoyed with the audience laughing where they thought they should laugh (and not pretty happy with the outfit of all members, although it was tending to show history and customs of their country). But they bought me in the end, because they are very good dancers and singers and 6 charming guys, but at the first place, because of the excellent musician which was playing several instruments at the same time, with his hands and feet.
And fantastic music through the whole show.

some strange rain.
—- and one of the ugliest days in Brussels

lost in the museum of music instruments.. it was a musical journey through the world and history…

A view to the street, 15.08.2010.
I was a yellow butterfly today dancing in a small red boots. Amazingly good concert of Wave Pictures, in front of few passionate music lovers. Crazy drummer, full bass, itching sound. Smell of the rain. Barefooted guy dancing in front of us. My friend who is getting lost on each corner. Strawberries in chocolate. I was horrible today. Music instruments and the view from the 10th floor. Headache. Some stupid carpet of the wilted flowers. Really hate historical statues. Couldn’t decide to buy white shoes with a high tick heel, or small red boots. But got a delicious espresso, and had a nice conversation with a shop girl, talking to her in English, while she was replying in French. A cat with huge scary green eyes, eating flowers…
A scene: Whose friend I am? English with Italian accent. Same barefooted guy in an empty street, playing guitar for himself, in front of some small full cafe. He was really good, I wanted to stay there and listen to him for a while. Headache again. Wet cobalt stone. Some lights in the building across which weren’t there before…
I was smiling, I wasn’t smiling, I was a dancer, I was horrible, I was a butterfly…
What am I going to do when the winter comes?
Thinking about cigarette before sleep…

Wave Pictures, Brussels, 14-08-2010
2 people badly fell down on the escalators today… both, just in front of us. on the way to Brugge, the old man, with a big luggage most probably stepped in between the stairs, fell on his back and stay caught on frenzied stairs, with a painful face, head down and legs up. my friend ran towards him, and had to trouble a bit until she was able to help him to come up [and he kept saying sorry!]. everybody else just stayed there watching. he reminded me on Leonard Cohen.
on the way back to Brussels, the young guy fell with his head down and stay caught like that. i ran as fast as i could and stopped the escalator, and some lady next to us helped him to come up. he was totally drunk. stopped stairs raised horrible alarm.
i’ve never thought about the escalator as a deadly machine.
